DrainCity scores well for accountability and trust. They have been in business for 30 years, and they have not had any complaints filed against them with the Better Business Bureau over the past 3 years. In our view, they could improve some more by becoming accredited by the Better Business Bureau and improving their rating with the Better Business Bureau.
Online Reviews
When it comes to online ratings and reviews, the company performs moderately with average reviews on HomeStars, HomeStars, and Yelp. We were concerned to see some unnatural online review patterns. This sometimes happens when plumbing companies encourage a lot of their most satisfied customers to review the company on specific websites.
Warranties & Satisfaction Guarantee
We think it would be good if every plumber publicly offered a warranty on their labour and the parts they install in people’s homes. On top of this, it’s ideal when a plumber also offers a satisfaction guarantee – assuring you, the paying customer, that the repair or installation you pay for is not done until you’re satisfied that it’s finished.
While satisfaction guarantees and parts and labour warranties are commonly offered in some Canadian cities, they’re only publically offered by 40% of plumbers in the Greater Toronto Area. However, it’s good to see that DrainCity offers a warranty of up to 25 years and a satisfaction guarantee.
